scaling

I think there is a problem with scaling here. The default range is at 2G, when I tried it the output of the accelerometer is around 9.8 m/s^2 but when I change the range to 4G, the reading becomes 20 m/s^2. I tried it also with other ranges (8,16). It seems like the output is a multiple of the change in range.
