The example mentioned in the docs on https://github.com/Kotlin/kotlin-jupyter/blob/master/docs/libraries.md#callbacks-right-before-kernel-shutdown doesn't work (checked in Kotlin Notebook). The issue can be verified by writing to a file, for instance.

As a workaround currently one may use a JVM shutdown hook instead.
