Cannot login to person CouchDB on iOS

Issue

I have created a Cloudant CouchDB instance and I have been successful in syncing to it on my computers.

However I cannot do this successfully on my mobile phone. When I provide the login details and press the big green "Login" buton nothing happens. The prompt stays open and the sync doesn't appear to be successful.

If I provide incorrect details I see the 'Login failed' popup (see picture below) so it doesn't seem to fail in a way that is detectable for NoteSelf:

Simulator

iOS: 13.5
model: iPhone SE
Browsers: safari

Physical phone

iOS: 13.4.1
model: iPhone 7
Browsers: safari, firefox 26.0

I can observe the same behavior on Safari 13.1.1 on MacOS 10.14.6

Can you open a console and see what is on the network tab and the console tab? If you are using an emulator that should be possible.

@danielo515 yes, I can. This is with a self-hosted CouchDB. Noteself Online via noteself.org/online works fine on macOS. On my iPad, It gets stuck at login without showing errors at all. I click on "Login" after "Save Config" and nothing happens.

Console keeps showing "about to login" and "login succeeded" even though nothing happens when clicking on "Login".

The network tab shows the following. The censored domain is my Couchdb instance.
