One may want to add a low cost 'ROCKEY' usb smartcard reader as:

usb:096e/0505, # FT SCR310 Feitian Technologies - label 'ROCKEY' 110317K.

to the configuration. http://www.rockey.com.my/prod-rockey-readers-tech.php for more details on the 3 physical manifestations of it.

It is a normal CCID (ccid driver); and works fine with a wide range of cards.
