Contributing to Interview Questions Repository

We warmly welcome contributions to the Interview Questions repository! If you would like to contribute, please follow the guidelines outlined in this document.

How to Contribute

Reporting Issues

If you find any errors or have suggestions for improvement, please open an issue. Be as specific as possible and include:

  • A clear title and description
  • Specific examples or context where applicable

Submitting Changes

To submit a change:

  1. Fork the Repository

    • Create your own fork of the repo.
  2. Clone Your Fork

    • Clone your fork to your local machine.
  3. Create a Branch

    • Create a new branch for your changes. Name it appropriately.
  4. Make Your Changes

    • Add new interview questions or improve existing ones.
    • Update the documentation if necessary.
  5. Commit Your Changes

    • Commit your changes with a clear and descriptive commit message.
  6. Push to Your Fork

    • Push your changes to your fork on GitHub.
  7. Create a Pull Request

    • Open a pull request from your branch to the main repository.
    • Provide a clear description of your changes and reference any relevant issues.

Adding Interview Questions

  • Ensure the question is not already listed.
  • Provide a clear and concise question.
  • Categorize the question (e.g., coding, behavioral, system design) and add it to the appropriate file. Or create a new file if necessary.
  • Where applicable, include sample answers or key points to address.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Use Markdown formatting for all documents. To make sure everything is correct, just run npm run lint before committing.
  • Follow the existing structure and style for consistency.
  • Use the commit lint rules for commit messages.
