Did you try the pulseaudio tcp module? It works but I'm not sure if there's any security issues with using it.
pactl load-module module-native-protocol-tcp auth-ip-acl=127.0.0.1
give virtualbox an environmental variable PULSE_SERVER=tcp:127.0.0.1
then something like iptables -I OUTPUT -o lo -p tcp -m owner --uid-owner clearnet --dport 4713 -j ACCEPT
Would that be safe to use?
