Hi @fmeng. Thanks for your interest in contributing to the Arduino Library Manager.
I see the bot reported problems with your submission that will block its acceptance:
❌ ERROR: Arduino Lint found errors with https://github.com/fmeng/RotaryEncoder:
Linting library in RotaryEncoder ERROR: Library name RotaryEncoder is in use by a library in the Library Manager index. Each library must have a unique name value. If your library is already in the index, use the "--library-manager update" flag. See: https://arduino.github.io/arduino-cli/latest/library-specification/#libraryproperties-file-format
Please fix the problem so we can proceed with your submission.
You will need to do the following things:
- Change the value of the
name
property in the library'slibrary.properties
metadata file to a unique name that has not already been claimed by any other library in Library Manager.
ⓘ You can search in the Arduino IDE Library Manager to see if a prospective name is available. - Bump the value of the
version
property in the library'slibrary.properties
metadata file. - Create a new release or tag in the library repository.
- Add a comment here in the pull request thread that mentions @ArduinoBot.
After that, the automated checks will run again. Once those are passing, your library will be automatically added to Library Manager.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
