How to change the default scheme for one or more widget types?

Hello.

Currently, the API does not have an abundantly clear way of changing the default scheme for windows created. This makes custom themes -- e.g. a dark theme -- exceptionally difficult.

Is there an API for this at this time?

From my research, I don't think this gui toolkit is themeable.
