First, thanks for this project!
I do bash all day at work, and prefer it similar to the reasons you state on the README.md.
I'm new to bitcoin, but very obsessed with it at the moment. I'm worried that non-technical and less privileged folks might get left behind, so I'm trying to find the simplest possible way for friends and family to start safely acquiring and hodling bitcoin as soon as possible; later, we can improve their bitcoin posture.
One way to do that might be something like:

1. use bitcoin-bash-tools to generate a private key and receiving address.
2. secure that private key.
3. implement a succession plan.
4. # for an automatic dollar-cost-averaging plan on an exchange.
5. set that savings plan to periodically auto-withdraw to the bitcoin-bash-tools receiving address.

Indeed one of my goals is to make some simple code to generate a bitcoin address (though rather ideally an HD wallet master key) without having to install or compile anything. I'm very close to having done that but I do worry about reliability now. So I need to clean the code as much as possible and write more test files.
