Will auth().onUserChanged be given a modular API counterpart, or will it be eventually removed?

I see that onUserChanged is

an experimental feature and is only part of React Native Firebase.

With the migration of firebase auth to the modular API, will this be given a modular API counterpart? If not will it stick around or eventually be removed?
