max difference between elements in an array

#find the largest gap in an array i.e is max of the difference between any two elements
#for this the simple method is to sort the elements and then subtract the maximum and minimum elements
def largestgap(ar):
	n=len(ar)

	ar.sort()
	find_max=ar[n-1]-ar[0]
	return find_max
print(largestgap([1,7,3,2,5,9,6]))
