pushing button unlocks and goes to settings in one push?

Hello.
Is it possible to have a button press go directly to the menu/settings ? As it is now with my bangle.js, I have to first press to unlock, and then push another time to actually do stuff. I can't find the setting to modify this behavior.

One way may be to add some boot code that added a listener for the "lock" event that does something at the same time.

There's a 'custom boot code app' where you can paste in code. Something like this should do it:

Bangle.on('lock',function(locked) {
  if (!locked && Bangle.CLOCK) load("setting.app.js");
});

edit: I should all this goes to the settings app. If you want to go to the launcher do:

Bangle.on('lock',function(locked) {
  if (!locked && Bangle.CLOCK) Bangle.showLauncher();
});

I just add my question here: I am tryping to develop a countdown app for referees. It is a countdown timer with some additional functions. The button on the Bangle JS 2 should start and stop the countdown, whether the display is on / locked or not on the first button press. I can't figure out, how to do that.

EDIT: as far as I can see, the lock of the screen also locks the button. Changing wakeOnBTN1: false in the settings disables my button completely until I unlock the screen (eg. by tabbing). Is this correct?

In your app add a listener for the lock event. Like suggested for bootcode above, but in your app instead.

Something like this (not complete code):

Bangle.setUI({
...
btn : onBtnPress,

Bangle.on('lock', 
  function(locked) {
    if (!locked) onBtnPress();
  }
);
...
