What happened?

So I turned on "Colorize thumbs" feature when I installed the extension, I expected it to work but unfortunately it didn't work & tbh I never seen this feature work before.

How to reproduce/recreate?

Just turn on "Colorize thumbs" in Return YT dislikes settings, go to any YT videos, then like or dislike the video & it wouldn't work.

Will you be available for follow-up questions to help developers diagnose & fix the issue?

Yes

i can reproduce on my end, it's been like this since the material you layout redesign

image

but if i install a browser extension like CustomTube

image

and set the layout to anything (mine is 2021), the thumbs not only get colorized, but the texts as well

i have no idea how that gets colorized by this extension, but it does work as intended

if i were to force them to be colorized by me creating a userstyle, only the like icon doesn't get colored because it's now animated (happens when signed in)
