Converter stuck

When I set up Converter I ran into a problem. I clicked on File and set the root directory to my download folder, but then Converter got stuck. The screen is blank except for the file button, and the display at the bottom, which reads: "Analyzing." No visible progress has been made in an hour and a half, and the file button will not even allow me to select a different directory, the option is greyed out. Reloading the app does not fix the problem
