Problem:
Enabling "Enable right click & select" (even with Aggressive Mode disabled) results in an issue where pasting becomes impossible on specific websites. This behavior persists across platforms and affects popular platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram (tested on messenger), and Google Docs.
Steps to Reproduce:
Enable "Enable right click & select" (no need to enable Aggressive Mode).
Attempt to paste text into a text field on affected websites using various methods (right-click > paste, Ctrl+V, or clicking and dragging text).
Observe the inability to paste on websites like WhatsApp, Instagram (messenger), and Google Docs.
Expected Behavior:
Pasting functionality should not be hindered when "Enable right click & select" is enabled. The feature should work seamlessly on affected websites.
Additional Information:
Disabling "Enable right click & select" and reloading the affected websites restores normal pasting functionality.
Users have reported similar issues on BrowserBoost's page on Chrome Web Store, particularly pasting on WhatsApp (which I haven't tested myself).
Note:
I'm using Chrome, Version 120.0.6099.227 (Official Build) (64-bit). Windows 11 laptop.
I realize that overriding a site's code to disable right-click text selection may cause problems but I'd like to believe there is a way to resolve this particular issue.
