Description

Right now the events times are being rendered on client-side and shown based on the location of the browser.
It can lead to complications when booking events, some people have their browser's not synced to current time. Also most linux distributions do a bad job in time-sync, it has been observed that dual-booting causes major issues in many systems in communicating with the bios-clock.
Since most events occur in hyderabad in IIIT campus, its better to show the IST time, even if the client is in other side of the world.

Proposed changes

  • Instead of rendering the time from the client-side, just force the use of IST
  • To avoid confusion we can just specify that the timing is according to IST.
