Does the ODI have a position on DataPackages vs CSV on the Web?

As a publisher trying to provide machine-readable metadata it is getting confusing. Open Knowledge seem to be focusing on DataPackages based on this conversation and are working on integrating DataPackages into CKAN (the portal I use).

While it's great to see CSVLint supporting both "standards" in the future, the situation is confusing for publishers.
