Custom download directory on firefox

On firefox it is not possible to set a custom download directory as you can do on chrome like here. The way to do this with firefox is to use a custom profile. Unfortunately there is a bug somewhere between codeception, selenium and firefox that a custom profile can't be defined. See the following bug reports:
