Hi there,

I'm using Ubuntu 24.04.2, with gnome 46. I've downloaded the zips, and stored them in /usr/share/themes. Using 'gnome-tweaks' does not fully apply the theme to all the system, as you can see here:

In some other apps, such as 'gnome-terminal', the theme is applied sucessfully:

This is the config in 'gnome-tweaks'

using the provided cli commands does not change anything. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Hi, @dgarcu

For the latest versions of Gnome using Gtk4(libadwaita) some extra steps should be done in order to get it working properly, you could do it in two ways:

1.- Manual way

  • Copy the assets folder to the ~/.config directory
  • Copy the gtk-4.0/gtk.css and gtk-4.0/gtk-dark.css files to ~/.config/gtk-4.0/

2.- Using this script which will copy the needed folders to the right directories

Hi @EliverLara ,

Sorry for missing that. Now I see the same question in some other issues. The script worked for me flawlessly!

Thank you very much, cheers!

Hi, @dgarcu

For the latest versions of Gnome using Gtk4(libadwaita) some extra steps should be done in order to get it working properly, you could do it in two ways:

1.- Manual way

* Copy the `assets` folder to the `~/.config` directory

* Copy the `gtk-4.0/gtk.css` and `gtk-4.0/gtk-dark.css` files to `~/.config/gtk-4.0/`

2.- Using this script which will copy the needed folders to the right directories

First of all thank you for the theme!

I tried to install it on my CachyOS gnome/nvidia (with all the latest updates) both manually and with the script and I can disable/reset it both manually and with the script.

HOWEVER, my problem with the theme is that the 'Files' and other apps/windows have white title bars and/or white parts while I am using the dark theme option of gnome which I prefer.

By the way I did try the Sweet Dark that you proposed to another person but it doesn't work either AND it doesn't have the sweet tint of color (pun intended) that the normal Sweet theme has.

Any ideas of what should I try? Thanks beforehand and have a nice rest of the day/night.
