NVAPI has the possibility to query the SLI state of a created Direct3D device object, starting with DX9 onwards.

Is there any safe way to determine the Crossfire state (implicit or explicit) for a created Direct3DDevice9 or Direct3DDevice10 object using AGS or any other AMD library?

The closest you can get to this now is to create a DX11 device via agsDriverExtensionsDX11_CreateDevice and query the number of Crossfired GPUs.
