The product-auto-label bot normally applies Product API labels like api: run to PRs based on various heuristics. However, I've noticed not all PRs I've reviewed recently have been tagged.

PRs like #4121 feat(vertexai)... are generally not labeled. First I thought this was a simple hyphenation problem because the Vertex AI product label is api: vertex-ai and our directory name and PR titles are using vertexai.

However, if you compare closed PRs to issues, it's very stark: PRs don't have automated product labels in the last couple weeks. Prior to that, there are a lot of dependency update PRs that wouldn't have those labels.

  • Did we disable PR auto labels?
  • Is there some kind of bot quota mechanism?
