What I am going to talk about
-PowerShell Core: What is it and how do I use it.
-When I heard about ATOM I really wanted to do a talk but being from a Microsoft Background what do I know thats Open Source?
-I quickly realized PowerShell Core is open source and it would be a great excuse to learn something and present my findings
-Today we are going to focus on the basics: getting PowerShell Core setup, because unlike PowerShell its not installed by default
and Using it like you would PowerShell to remote into other machines and pull information

PowerShell
-CLI with the purpose of task automation and configuration management for Windows based Operating Systems
-Built into Windows since Server 2008
-Available for Windows XP SP2 and Server 2003 SP2 (Feb 2008 over a decade)
-CMDlets are unique and give PowerShell its POWER!
-verb-noun easy to understand
-Uses PowerShell ISE for scripting environment
-.Net Framework
-The latest version is 5.x
-Like the ISE Microsoft has said that PowerShell will only receive security updates going forward.
PowerShell Core
-PowerShell v 6.0
-based on .NetCore instead of .Net Framework
-Open Source and runs on Linux, Mac OS, and Windows. (Windows IoT, Arm support as well)
-Installs sxs with PowerShell 5.0
-pwsh vs powershell.exe
-Microsoft works actively on PowerShell Core. PowerShell, is in a state of extended support. Microsoft has no plans to add features to PowerShell, but it will release critical bug fixes and security updates.
-PowerShell Core has no ISE USE VS CODE!
-Missing things like:
-web forms, get-credential is all cli based
-no out-gridview
-limited cmdlets (and we will see how limited in my presentation)

-Supports Remoting over SSH as well as WinRM
