[Notice] Issues about database downloads & distorted sound recordings will be closed

Both of these have been opened and closed as duplicates time and time again. Please do not make any more issues about them, they will be closed.

Slow database downloads are usually resolved simply by leaving the device to download the update overnight, while charging and on WiFi. Being impatient and force stopping Now Playing repeatedly expecting it to download faster will only slow it down further. However, if it has still not downloaded after 24 hours, then consider rebooting or force stopping Now Playing, before letting it sit to download again.

Distorted sound recordings can be resolved by enabling the Alternative Encoding option in Settings > Advanced, and/or adjusting the gain to the correct level for your device. Some experimentation may be required to get it right for your model.
