Problem with certain triggers not working?

I am trying to reproduce the result in this work. There are some questions I met that need your advice.
I modified the config file to change the trigger path setting as follows:
trigger_path: ../Fight-Poison-With-Poison/triggers/badnet_patch_32.png
This corresponds to https://github.com/Unispac/Fight-Poison-With-Poison/blob/master/triggers/badnet_patch4_32.png

It seems like ASD is not working well with this trigger?
