  • Running sym_backend in docker on MacOS:
    1. Docker on MacOS does not support serial usb bypassing, so you will not be able to access USB device inside docker container. Ref: Exposing a tty serial device requires privileged and doesn't work docker/for-mac#900
      • Solution: use ser2net instead.
    2. ser2net's TCP connection was reset by the peer.
      • Solution: None.
    3. Even with ser2net, using -p or --network="host" do not expose host port to the container.
      • Solution: None
  • Running on linux:
    1. _sym_initialize called by __sym_ctor is instrumented for every LLVM module, thus are called multiple times.
