So you'd have to install Jekyll locally to use it, but the output can be used in github pages. I get it that is kinda a bug. I wrote to them in 2015 when I authored this, but they basically said if they allowed my plugin they would have to allow a lot more so just generate on your PC and upload.
You should probably also be aware this is a largely proof-of-concept dead repo.
