I was observing the output of predominant melody for a polyphonic song. I could observe that the pattern generated is having lot of overshoots in the vocal sections which corrupts the whole predominant melody pattern.

I have some doubts on this.

When comparing the pattern with the melodia dll's output, I could observe

  1. Some of the contour portions are drifted to higher ranges compared to melodia dll.
(whether bringing these contours will give a continuity in the pattern)
  2. Is predominant melody picking some instrumental portions instead of vocal's contour?
  3. mean calulation operations inside pitchcontours.cpp/pitchcontoursmelody.cpp are having some problems ?

Thanks
Philips
