Hello!
I would like to ask if there is a reason for not providing the data access earlier than April 2025?
It looks like by just delaying it as late as legally possible, that one tries to conform only with the letters of the law, and not with the ideal of open data itself.
Since the documentation already exists in this detail, it seems that one decider only would need to flip a switch, to finally have the data online.
Similar data is accessible from Germany as well as Austria already, also to the benefit of Swiss researchers.
Especially for photovoltaic research based on the data, multiple months of delay is a lot of lost time ....

Your impression is wrong. We are currently working hard to ensure that the data types defined in the documentation can be automatically obtained as files from the beginning of April 2025.
The information in the documentation should already enable interested users to gain an impression of which data will be provided in which structure.
The Federal Council decided in mid-August that the revised Meteorology Ordinance will come into force at the beginning of April 2025. This means that the legal basis will be in place when we are technically and organisationally ready for the open data publication.
Yours sincerely,
