From what I saw and played I haven't seen an abillity "Change Stat" to work.

Have they even been pollinating the plants as an Apid?
Change stat and pollination works on my end for increasing plant stats.

Explicitly tested ingame. This is no longer an issue.
Pollinate Crop strongly increases the selected plant stat while slowly increasing a few other stats over time.
