i died while shapeshifted into a bat, after entering a vent, because renault managed to bite me THROUGH the vent.

i've seen something similar happen before with gorillas attacking a bloodcrawling slaughter demon - it seems basic mob attack AIs ignore whether they're able to actually click on somebody or not, they only check adjacency.
