Using Arch Linux on the 6.0.8-zen1-1-zen kernel, I tried out the Materia SDDM theme because I liked the lock screen but was unable to log back in to my desktop because it kept trying to load Wayland instead of X11. I use NVIDIA proprietary drivers 520.56.06 and had to nvidia_drm.modeset=1 kernel parameter and was able to log back in to my desktop.
It seems whatever I choose, it loads Wayland anyway for some reason and never X11.
