Customizing Rows and Columns of Angular Tree Grid Using Templates

Learn how you can customize rows and columns of Angular Tree Grid of Syncfusion using templates. In this example, you can learn how to customize tree grid rows using a row template, use functions within the template, and use the detailTemplate feature. Also, you can learn how to customize the tree grid columns using a column template, render a template based on conditions, and change the default cell value using ValueAccessor.

Project prerequisites

Make sure that you have the compatible versions of TypeScript and Angular in your machine before starting to work on this project:

  • Angular 4+
  • TypeScript 2.6+

How to run this application

To run this application, you need to first clone the Customizing Rows and Columns in Angular Tree Grid Using Templates repository and then navigate to the path where it has been stored in your system.

To do so, open the command prompt and run the below commands one after the other.

git clone https://github.com/SyncfusionExamples/Customizing-Rows-and-Columns-of-Angular-Tree-Grid-using-Templates treegrid-example
cd treegrid-example

Installation

Once done with downloading, you need to install the packages required to run this application locally. To do so, run the following command:

npm install

This will install all the needed Angular packages into your current project.

Running on a development server

Run the ng serve command for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.
