This should fix this issue: Ulauncher/Ulauncher#717

ulauncher-system found a solution without waiting for the Ulauncher team, which seems to ignore this problem.
Take a look here: tjquillan/ulauncher-system@639facd
Maybe it could work with ulauncher-emoji as well?

I had the same problem with ulauncher and emoji extension, I noticed that I was using ulauncher 5.11 - I upgraded to version 5.14 and the problem is gone now. Not sure if this issue should be closed?

Basically what I did:

  1. Updated ulauncher to the latest version
  2. Updated the extension to the latest version
