Broken links can be found using this tool
This process also needs to be done within the markdown of other issues, for example Reduce documentation entropy #61 where several links no longer work.
Finally, a page should be created officially documenting how to move update documentation in such a way that links are less frequently broken, perhaps through a refactoring tool

wiki link checking is now done through Travis CI here
