Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): 1738889325.
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Fedora (KDE Spin).
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: Yes.
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes.
  • GPU: AMD.

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Basically what happens is that the Steam client shows a black screen briefly before actually showing the screen it should show. It's very noticeable. There are very rare instances in which it doesn't do it, and other times where it does it but so briefly you can barely notice it.

This happens on BOTH the Beta and the Stable version. I just went into the Beta to see if it was solved there but it's not.

As you can see I do it repeatedly so the issue is more visible, but it isn't necessary to do it repeatedly for the bug to appear, it just happens anytime.

My icon pack, wallpaper, open apps, theme or system fonts are unrelated to the issue since it also happens on a clean install of any Linux distro I tried. Also it's been happening for months, not just now.
It happens on every tab, not just the Library one.

I'm on Fedora (KDE Spin), using Wayland. Intel CPU (i3-4170), AMD GPU (RX 560 4GB), 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB SSD.
I've installed Steam through the terminal using "sudo dnf install steam".

I couldn't find any other report on this, I searched here, also Reddit and in other forums. What's funny is that when I see recordings of other people reporting other issues, they also have this same issue visible, but they don't report it. Almost as if they didn't notice it.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Click on the Steam client icon on the task manager.
