We don't use labels, but it works mostly like that. Upon triage, we label issues that are clear bugs/feature requests/questions and ask questions to clarify on others. The bot then operates on unlabeled issues (and question ones) where there was no response for 14 days. It comments then and if no follow up comes in the next 5 days, it closes the issue. The intention is to close issues where there is no clear path forward unless somebody provides additional feedback. I think we agree about the point that we are both very different flavours of maintainers. ❤️ 😃
Do not underestimate your abilities as a maintainer.
Correct. And to "monitor" the time span waiting for users response we do have tags like "feedback" and "close until cool-of period" in my projects. Works very well. But we also do have issues open for more than 10 years for good reason.
