In 6.6, the option to style sections of blocks, unofficially referred to as "section styles", is being introduced. To help with standardization and ultimately broader adoption and ease of use across themes, let's talk standardizing slugs for this new option:

I imagine this will impact Twenty Twenty-Five https://github.com/WordPress/twentytwentyfive and the development that occurs there, as well as the example that default theme sets.
In talking with others (@richtabor @bgardner @justintadlock @ndiego) today about this feature and problem, we discussed how ideally the slug value is as generic as possible (ex:
section-1
) and the titles can be set as they make the most sense per theme. Core directory patterns can then also use the generic slug and reflect your site's styles out of the box when viewing any core patterns. @WordPress/block-themers please share thoughts!The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
