As a user, I should not care about which scan to run and which post-scan or pre-scan plugins I need to invoke. Instead what I care is getting summary information for license and origin that is backed by details and I would like to know what I need to review where the determination is not definitive e.g. such that I can review some parts of the results by exception if needed.

So the requirement would be to have a scan mode that does not require to request specific scans but instead would run the appropriate scans and plugins when needed with the appropriate summarization and classification (and would effectively implement most of the #377 #772 #1012 #426 tickets).

This would just do the right things as needed.

This is implemented in ScanCode.io as pipelines! Closing.
