Display the angle of view when in a geographical projection (angle of view has no meaning in un-projected case)
Angle between point of view and the normal to the surface of the map

  • 0° when seen from above (usual cartographic view)
  • 45° to express the three dimensions
  • 90° used to measure angles and lengths
