Sorry if this is a clueless question I'm asking, I'm new to GitHub downloads.

I downloaded this as the standalone version and I should have the latest release of that I believe. After extracting the zip file I looked in the folder to see how to install but I couldn't understand how to install looking at the files other than the LGSTray.exe file. So I ran the file and it works exactly how I hoped and I was able to view the battery level of my mouse (G303 Shroud if it matters). However after a restart it doesn't automatically start and I have to run it every time despite having selected the option to start at startup. I assume this is since I ran the exe file only and nothing else. But beyond that I have no clue how to actually install it.

I have looked at the readme file and still have no idea.

My system information:
Asus UX430U (Laptop)
i5-8250U
NVIDIA MX150 2GB
16GB RAM
2 TB WD SN770
Windows 10 - 22H2
Logitech G303 Shroud

Any help is appreciated.

This is your issue. I did the same thing.

Do this: Download the non-standalone version. Put it somewhere that it won't get moved or deleted (Like your desktop or a dedicated program folder). Run LGSTray.exe and it will run you through the process of downloading .Net 8 - after successfully installing .Net 8 - run LGStray.exe AGAIN.

Then set it up how and where you want on your taskbar. Then click "Autostart with Windows". It should work after that.
