TLS encryption

Hello everybody. I am playing around with neatvnc and it appears to me that when it is compiled with TLS support the "vencrypt" scheme only is supported.

This fact restrict the number of clients which can be used (on Windows now I can only find TigerVNC, and maybe, TightVNC) but for example RealVNC can't be used since it supports "tlsvnc" only (and not "vencrypt").

Do you agree with that? Or is there something I am completely missing?

If you agree, is there any chance to see "tlsvnc" implemented in the future?

If the tlsvnc scheme is publicly documented somewhere, it's possible that someone might implement it given sufficient motivation.

If you want to use RealVNC viewer, I'd recommend using RSA-AES, which is implemented by both.

I really do not know anything about tlsvnc (nor vencrypt, actually) and so I do not know if tlsvnc is publicly documented anywhere and I also do not know whether tlsvnc is something proprietary for RealVNC or not... maybe you can give me some hints? have you ever heard something about that before?

Instead, speaking about vencrypt, is it an "open" standard? Do you think it is acceptable to tell third parties that a product integrating neatvnc is only compatible with vencrypt? Please consider that I am an absolute beginner about VNC, so I hope my question is not going to be "offending" for you, since it does not mean to be so... just a question for helping me understading the scenario.

Finally, about RSA-AES, can you tell me exactly what it is and how I can configure/compile neatvnc for supporting that too?

Make sure nettle is enabled; but you should also check the source code. Also, look at wayvnc for examples.
