x86_64 build: adding remote memory does not work

Hello! I got an issue where I can't add remote memory. If I try to add remote memory, I get the following message:
ERROR:/<...>/avatar-qemu/qom/object.c:689:object_new_with_type: assertion failed: (type != NULL)

I am on the branch dev/qemu-5.1.
