Contribution Guidelines

Please ensure your pull request adheres to the following guidelines:

  • Search previous suggestions before making a new one, as yours may be a duplicate.
  • Make an individual pull request for each suggestion.
  • Use the following format: [EVENT](LINK) - DESCRIPTION.
  • Use the following when a date is applicable: [EVENT](LINK) - DESCRIPTION (MONTH DAY# - DAY#).
  • New categories (a.k.a. cities) are welcome.
  • Keep descriptions short and simple, but descriptive.
  • End all descriptions with a full stop/period.
  • Check your spelling and grammar.
  • Make sure your text editor is set to remove trailing whitespace.

How to create a Pull Request

  1. Click Fork on the top right. This will create a copy of awesome-events on your account. It looks like this: image
  2. Click on the file you want to edit, for instance README.md: image
  3. Then, click on the pencil icon above the file: image
  4. When you're done changing the file, scroll to the bottom, optionally add a description and hit Commit changes: image
  5. Almost there! Now hit create a new Pull Request: image
  6. Hit the following button and change and/or add a description of what you've done... and than hit Create pull request: image
  7. You'll get notified once it's merged, and receive ethernal gratitude ✌️
