It would take some engineering time to plug it into a shell environment so it may not be a good choice. I am working on version 4 which will essentially be a slimmed down version and I'll see what it might take to make it easier to integrate with a shell environment.

hi @bbuck
i started a very small project called mterm just to be a client for aesh project
https://github.com/aeshell/aesh

but i saw that your DragonConsole is complete for what i want to do, that is to be a client for aesh.
Any chance this could be used to run aesh shell ?

thanks and congratulations for DragonConsole.

It looks like a possibility. It appears that Aesh already provides a console with a somewhat similar structure for handling input as DragonConsole. so it may be entirely possible to do that although I don't know exactly what kind of work would need to happen for certain programs like Vi or Emacs to function.

so i will drop my personal project because dragonconsole is most mature to try to integrate with aesh
i hope this can be possible because both projects are awesome.
