Describe the bug

The App Store compliance patch has been applied to the iOS and macOS support packages; however the application of these patches leads to the creation of .orig files, and these .orig files contain the text that causes a problem with the App Store validation process

Steps to reproduce

  1. Search for itms-services in the 3.13-b2/b3 support packges

Expected behavior

.orig files should not be included in the published archives.

Screenshots

No response

Environment

3.13-b2 and 3.13-b3 support packages are known to be affected; presumably others are also affected.

As a workaround, the Briefcase cleanup_paths option can be used to purge .orig files as part of the deployment process:

cleanup_paths = [
    "**/*.orig",
]
