It seems impossible to fully control Spotify (in Android 4.1.1, HTC One X).
After manually starting Spotify (starting from watch doesn't work), music track and artist are displayed correctly on the watch. Volume controls work fine also.
Pausing music also works, but then starting music again brings up Google Play instead of Spotify. Next and previous controls don't work for Spotify.
