False Antivirus Warning | هشدار اشتباه آنتی ویروس

متاسفانه به‌تازگی Microsoft Windows Defender برای استفاده از برنامه Oblivion Desktop اقدام به نمایش پیام هشدار Potentially unwanted app found کرده، که باعث نگرانی کاربران در استفاده از برنامه میشه.

در همین‌رابطه ذکر چند نکته ضروری هست:

1. این‌مساله نشات‌گرفته از False Positive هست، که قبلا درخصوص آنتی‌ویروس‌های دیگه شاهدش بوده و توضیحاتی رو در ایشوی #232 ارائه کردیم
2. برنامه مثل همیشه به‌طور کامل متن‌باز بوده و امکان بررسی کدها برای افراد متخصص وجود داره. علاوه‌براین، برنامه توسط اکشن گیت‌هاب به‌طور خودکار بیلد گرفته میشه و تاکنون مشکل امنیتی‌ای در سورس برنامه گزارش نشده
3. به‌طور همزمان پیگیر مکاتبه با مایکروسافت برای رفع مشکل false postive، ساخت اکانت برای اضافه‌کردن برنامه به استور مایکروسافت و همینطور پیدا کردن هرگونه راه‌حل برای عبور از این‌مشکل هستیم، اما با توجه به اینکه هیچگونه حمایتی مالی نداریم، از پس هزینه‌های ساین‌کردن برنامه هم برنمیایم و این‌مساله کار رو برامون سخت‌تر کرده
4. در رابطه با نصب برنامه و عبور از مشکل فعلی، باید ویندوز دیفندر رو به طور موقت غیرفعال کرده و بعد مجدد اقدام به نصب برنامه کنید. برای این‌منطور باید پس‌از ورود به windows security، از منو به بخش virus & threat protection و سپس manage settings شده و گزینه add or remove exculsions رو پیدا کنید. در اون‌بخش بر روی add an exclusion زده و آدرس فولدر برنامه oblivion desktop رو مشخص کنید. در انتها مجدد وارد manage settings شده و چک‌باکس‌های مربوط به آنتی ویروس رو برای مدت محدودی غیرفعال کرده و دوباره برنامه رو در مسیر ازپیش‌تعیین‌شده نصب کنید.

امیدواریم بتونیم مشکل مذکور رو در زمان کوتاهی برطرف کرده و خدشه‌ای در اعتماد شما به وجود نیاد. ارادتمند

Unfortunately, Microsoft Windows Defender has recently started displaying a "Potentially unwanted app found" warning when using the Oblivion Desktop app, which has caused concern among users.

In this regard, it is essential to note the following points:

1. This issue is a result of a false positive, similar to what we have seen with other antivirus software, as explained in issue #232.
2. The app remains fully open-source, allowing experts to review the code. Additionally, the app is automatically built by GitHub Actions, and no security issues have been reported in the source code so far.
3. We are actively working on contacting Microsoft to resolve the false positive issue, creating an account to add the app to the Microsoft Store, and finding any possible solutions to overcome this problem. However, since we have no financial support, we cannot afford the costs of signing the app, making the process more challenging.
4. To install the app and bypass the current issue, you need to temporarily disable Windows Defender and then proceed with the installation. To do this, after entering Windows Security, go to the Virus & threat protection section from the menu, then to Manage settings, and find the Add or remove exclusions option. In that section, click on Add an exclusion and specify the folder path for the Oblivion Desktop app. Finally, go back to Manage settings, temporarily disable the antivirus checkboxes, and reinstall the app in the previously specified directory.
