It would be invaluable to have a service (e.g. /endpoint-status/[all|name]) to check the "status" of the endpoints for which we depend on. The service should send a SPARQL query like "describe http://bio2rdf.org/rest-service/ping" and get an empty turtle document.

one reason is because http://uniprot.bio2rdf.org is not up.

Ok, we should probably remove the entries from biocatalogue. I don't mind using SPARQLES, but it depends on thedatahub. I have an outstanding ticket [1] to get access to some of the entries in order to update their descriptions.

Will you be generating WSDL descriptions for each of the endpoints? e.g. http://reactome.bio2rdf.org/bio2rdf/services.wsdl

Is there a Virtuoso feature to generate it and to make it available at this url ?
