Unable to record analog channels

If someone has a moment to help me, I would be forever grateful … I am trying to do the most basic thing, that being define an analog channel on a Teensy 4.1 and save the data at a given sampling rate. Attached below is what I currently have as the most simplified version, and I just cannot get this to work.

The Teensy is currently running StardardFirmata with no other changes to the .ino code. I am able to get this working without issue on digital pins.

Hmm can you provide more details, and your workflow if possible? Unfortunately there's not enough information to diagnose or suggest fixes. Have you already trying verifying the analog signal you are trying to read and used other analog pins?

so I can provide a minor update. I tried a few different Teensy 4.1s and the analog pin I was trying was pin 27, corresponding to A13. No reason I chose this specifically, but none of them worked when addressing pin 27 as analog. However they all work addressing it as a digital input. For whatever reason, I then tried switching to pin 14 which is A0, and suddenly everything works as expected. Same Bonsai workflow, just pin 14 rather than 27. Any idea why that might be the case? Is it a Firmata thing, or is there something about designating analog channels on a Teensy that I'm misunderstanding?
