Description:

Follow up to #22849

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Brave
  2. Go to www.google.coom
  3. Turn off internet connection
  4. Refresh the page and see No internet connection
  5. Turn on the internet connecting and immediately refresh the page
  6. Observe the Cert issue

Actual result:

The Cert Unknown state is shown on the webpage when loading it right after the internet connection is restored. The issue will not be seen if you wait >3 seconds before refreshing the page.

Expected result:

No Cert issue must be seen on the webpage when refreshing it after restoring the internet connection.

Brave Version:

Brave build: 1.67 (2)
BraveCore: 1.67.2 (124.0.6367.29)

  • Can you reproduce this issue with the current build from AppStore? YES

Device details:

iPhone 14 / iOS 17.5

Website problems only:

  • Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Shields?
  • Is the issue reproducible on the latest version of Mobile Safari?
